Project to Promote with Environmentally Friendly Product Design ,and Environmental Education Workplan in 2020

This Plan is being implemented over the period from March 25, 2020 to December 15, 2020. The main objective of the Plan is to promote environmentally-friendly industrial product design and environmental education and awareness work in schools and among the public, in order to promote a circular economy. The main results achieved were as follows: (I) The promotion of two projects through assistance and match-making: further use of fabric in stock and reduction of online shopping packaging waste through intra- or inter-industry linkage and cooperation, and electronic display leasing; and the introduction of semester-length courses concerning the circular economy and green product design concepts at 2 colleges in order to train professional personnel with practical green design skills; (II) In order to promote mutual learning and growth within the industry, selection of 18 industry models from among the 37 participating firms with outstanding recycling of resources and innovative services under "Circular Economy – Selection of Outstanding Enterprises in Relation to the Circular Utilization of Recycled Materials"; (III) In order to promote waste reduction at the source, recycling of resources, and the circular economy concept at elementary schools and junior high schools, design of 3 instructional materials in conjunction with the core competencies of the 12-year national educational reforms, which will enable teachers to incorporate the circular economy concept in the curriculum, and help elementary school and junior high school students understand how to realize this concept in their daily lives; completion of training for 254 trainers; and awareness reaching 2,537 students; (IV) Using cultural aesthetics, industry capabilities, innovative models, and educational models to link with joint participation of over 50 firms, employment of six exhibition areas focusing on food, clothing, living, travel, education, and entertainment, and use of a workshop approach to enable real participation by the public and show how application of the circular economy concept should focus on everyday life; the exhibition will achieve outreach to over 2,000 persons.
